Grill Master Roles + Responsibilities

Our grill masters’ primary objective is to provide the highest level of product from start to finish while maintaining a high morale among their team members. Our kitchens are right up front where the customer can see their meal being grilled with love, so customer service skills are also important.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have a great attitude

  • Must be able to work weekends, lunches and nighttime

  • Provide friendly, fast and accurate service in order to ensure an excellent customer experience

  • Must be a friendly person who loves to smile :)

  • Excel in performing essential tasks including front line coordinator, order taker, sandwich stylist, fry station and grilling

  • Maintain friendly, fast and accurate service, ensure customer order accuracy and make sure all products are consistent with company standards

  • Ensure the restaurant is up to company standards with regard to cleanliness, organization and customer accessibility

  • Help train grill cooks and prep leads for each station the employee will be facilitated in

  • Must attend all meetings held by managers

  • Must ensure that all equipment is maintained, cleaned and serviced to ensure maximum production

  • Maintain portion standards to ensure food cost standards are met

  • Maintain average ticket speed of service per company service level agreement (SLA) standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grill experience (min. 1–3 years) managing a grill in a fast-paced fast-food, fast-casual or full-service restaurant (Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Smashburger, etc.)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary including the ability to read, write and comprehend instructions

  • Ability to TRAIN others and LISTEN to the needs of the customer and environment

  • Passion: someone who sees the potential to grow with the company

  • Ability to willingly handle all positions when necessary, without hesitation – you lead by example

  • Carry out the brand vision of community and fostering care for the employees, which in turn will ensure brand integrity
